My design is craft, Ursula says. My ideas are individually nurtured with great care; the pieces grow in my hands. I study the material from various angles, turn it, move it and listen to what it tells me and how it reacts to my ideas. It is always a surprising and exciting experience! Every single piece of jewellery is carefully handcrafted in our studio.
Strong lines become soft. Elements and concepts originate in geometry. Strong and graceful pieces may result, both worlds - hard and soft – once combined, can bring forward a perfect piece of jewellery.
Liberty comes with wearing the pieces. Most of my collarettes and necklaces are flexible, they can be changed and turned into something different. They can be worn in numerous ways, depending on the clothes, the occasions, or the personal mood. Sometimes one may fancy an eye catcher, a conversation piece. Often, less is more. But adopting the piece to a particular situation is never more than a quick change, a swift check in the mirror.
